Apple announced ARKit 3 at WWDC 2019 … you can discover all the new functionalities on Apple developer portal. One of the most interesting is people occlusion : what does that mean ? it will enable virtual objects to be occluded by people realtime.

It is only the beginning … we can imagine we will be able to have spatial mapping with mobile devices soon (since some of them – iPhone X for instance – include already depth cameras) !
